Beyond the print.
Some projects call for something a little different. Patches, custom labels, and fully custom-made garments give your apparel a finished, high-end look that sets it apart.
If you can picture it, ask us. From leather patch hats to custom-made pieces, we’ll help you find a way to make it.
Patches
Patches add texture and a classic look to hats, jackets, bags, and more. Popular options include:
- Embroidered patches
- Woven patches for fine detail
- Leather and faux-leather patches
- PVC and rubber patches
- Printed and sublimated patches
Patches can be sewn on, heat-applied, or backed with hook-and-loop so they can be swapped out.
Labels and finishing
The details are what make apparel feel like a real brand. We can help with:
- Printed tagless neck labels
- Custom woven neck labels
- Hang tags and custom packaging
- Hem tags and sleeve labels
Starting a clothing line or building your merchandise program? Custom labels make your products look finished and retail-ready.
Custom cut and sew
When an off-the-shelf garment won’t do, cut and sew lets you design apparel from the fabric up. Choose the fabric, fit, colors, trim, and details to create a piece that’s entirely your own.
Cut and sew is a great option for clothing brands, uniforms, and team apparel with a unique look. These projects take more planning and longer lead times, and they require higher minimum quantities, so reach out early and we’ll walk you through the process.
Other specialty applications
We also offer specialty decoration methods to make your design stand out, from heat-applied vinyl for names and numbers to unique finishes and combinations of techniques. Tell us what you’re imagining, and we’ll help you find the right approach.

Specialty tips
Getting your order to you on time is a team effort. Prompt approval of your artwork proofs, invoice, and final order details helps us keep production on schedule. Please allow approximately two weeks after all approvals to complete most orders, and let us know early if you have a specific deadline. We can often accommodate faster turnaround times as long as we know in advance and plan accordingly.
A well-made patch can last for years. A few choices up front make sure it looks the way you want.
Pick the right patch type for your design.
Embroidered patches have a classic, textured look. Woven patches hold finer detail and smaller text. Leather offers a premium, rugged feel, and PVC is durable and great for bold, colorful designs.
Keep it bold and simple.
Patches are small. Clear shapes, strong contrast, and readable lettering work best. Very fine details may be simplified to reproduce cleanly.
Think about size and shape.
Consider where the patch will go. A hat front, a left chest, and a jacket back all call for different sizes. Custom shapes are available and can make a design more distinctive.
Choose the right backing.
Sewn-on patches are the most durable. Heat-applied patches are quick and clean. Hook-and-loop backing lets patches be swapped out, which is popular for uniforms and gear.
Match the patch to the garment.
Leather patches pair well with structured hats and canvas, while embroidered patches work on almost anything. We’ll help you choose a combination that looks great together.
Have a design in mind? We’ll help you choose the best patch for it.
Custom labels and cut-and-sew projects are a big step toward a true retail product. Planning ahead makes the process smooth.
Start early.
Custom labels and cut-and-sew garments are made to order and take longer than our standard turnaround. Let us know your launch date at the start so we can build a realistic timeline.
Expect higher minimum quantities.
Because custom labels and garments are produced from scratch, they require larger minimum orders than decorated blanks. We’ll give you the minimums and pricing up front.
Gather your references.
Photos of garments you like, notes on fit and fabric, color references, and sketches all help us understand your vision and quote accurately.
Check label requirements.
Garment labels typically include information such as fiber content, care instructions, and country of origin. We can help you plan what your labels need to include.
Approve samples before production.
For cut-and-sew projects, a sample lets you check fit, fabric, and details before the full run. It’s the best way to avoid surprises.
Thinking about starting a clothing line? Let’s talk through your plans.
A little planning helps everything run smoothly. Most of our orders require approximately two weeks after invoice & artwork approval; however, specialty processes can take longer, especially if it's a cut and sew project or a project that has multi-phase production needs. Share your deadline early so we can plan around it and let you know what’s possible.
Tell us when you need your order in hand.
If your merchandise is for an event, trip, or launch, give us the date you need to receive it, not just the event date. Allow time for shipping and any preparation you’ll need to do afterward.
Send your artwork early.
Getting your artwork to us at the beginning gives us time to review it, make any necessary adjustments, and prepare your proof. If you need design help, let us know so we can include that in the schedule.
Finalize garment styles, colors, sizes, and quantities.
We need your complete selections before ordering your garments. Finalizing these details early gives us time to confirm availability, receive the products, and address any supplier issues.
Review your proof and invoice promptly.
Check your artwork, spelling, print locations, garment details, and quantities carefully. Your approvals allow us to move forward with purchasing and production. Changes after approval may affect the price or completion date.
Keep feedback clear and together.
When requesting revisions, describe each change as specifically as possible. If several people are reviewing the project, send one combined list of feedback to help reduce extra rounds of proofs.
Be open to production recommendations.
We may suggest adjustments to artwork, sizing, or placement to help your design print well. Small differences between an on-screen proof and a finished garment are normal, and exact placement can vary slightly during production.
Let us know when plans change.
Changes to artwork, products, or quantities can affect the schedule. Tell us as soon as possible, and we’ll explain the options and any impact on your deadline.
Working with a tight deadline? Ask us.
Rush orders can often be accommodated depending on garment availability, project requirements, and our production schedule. When we can accommodate a shorter turnaround without an additional charge, we’re happy to do so.
Have a deadline in mind? Tell us when you request your quote so we can help you plan.
