Privacy Policy

Effective date: November 2, 2026

Left Coast T-Shirt Company ("Left Coast," "we," "us," or "our") has been printing, embroidering, and decorating apparel and promotional products in San Luis Obispo, California since 2003. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit leftcoast.promo, request a quote, place an order, or otherwise work with us, how we use it, and the choices and rights you have.

The short version: we collect only what we need to quote, produce, ship, and support your order, and to run and promote our business. We never sell, rent, or trade your name, contact details, order details, or artwork, and we never give them to anyone for their own marketing. The outside companies that handle your information are the service providers we need to run our business (like our e-commerce platform, payment processors, email platform, and shipping carriers). Like most online stores, our website also uses analytics and advertising cookies from Google and Meta; you can opt out of those at any time, as explained below.

Information We Collect

Information you give us

  • Contact details: your name, company or organization, email address, phone number, and billing and shipping addresses.
  • Order and quote details: the products, quantities, sizes, colors, decoration methods, and deadlines you request, plus any notes or instructions you send us.
  • Artwork and files: logos, designs, images, and other files you upload or email to us for your order.
  • Payment information: payment card or other payment details, which are entered into and processed by our payment processors. We do not store full card numbers on our systems.
  • Communications: emails, phone calls, contact-form messages, and any other correspondence with our team.
  • Account information: if you create a customer account, your login email and order history.

Information collected automatically

When you visit our website, our e-commerce platform (Shopify) automatically collects certain technical information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring website, and the date and time of your visit. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies, including analytics and advertising tools from Google (Google Analytics and Google Ads) and Meta (Facebook and Instagram), described below.

Information from others

  • If you order through a team, club, school, or company web store that we run for an organization, we receive the information you enter at checkout on that store.
  • If an organization uses our fulfillment services, that organization may give us recipient names and shipping addresses so we can ship orders on their behalf.

How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to:

  • Prepare quotes, produce your products, and process, ship, and deliver your order.
  • Process payments, refunds, and prevent fraud.
  • Communicate with you about your quote, proofs, order status, and questions.
  • Keep your artwork and order history on file so reorders are quick and accurate.
  • Run, maintain, secure, and improve our website and services.
  • Understand how visitors find and use our site, and measure and improve our advertising on Google, Facebook, and Instagram.
  • Send you our newsletter or occasional updates, only if you have chosen to receive them. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
  • Comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations, and protect our rights.

Your artwork: files you send us are used only to produce your order (and future reorders you request). We never use your logos or designs for any other purpose, never sell them, and never share them with anyone other than the production partners needed to complete your job, without your permission.

How We Share Information

We never sell, rent, or trade your name, contact details, order details, or artwork, and we never give them to third parties for their own marketing. We disclose personal information only in these limited situations:

  • Service providers that process information on our behalf and under our instructions, and are not allowed to use it for their own purposes. These include:
    • Shopify, which hosts our website, store, and checkout;
    • payment processors (such as Shopify Payments, PayPal, and other payment providers we offer at checkout) to process payments;
    • shipping carriers (such as UPS, USPS, and FedEx) to deliver your order;
    • Teesom, our order and production management software, which stores customer contact details, quotes, orders, and artwork so we can produce your job;
    • InkSoft (a Taivo company), which hosts some of the team, school, and company web stores we run, and processes the orders placed on them;
    • Klaviyo, which sends our newsletter and order-related emails;
    • email and IT providers that host our email and business systems.
  • Analytics and advertising partners: Google and Meta receive limited website activity information (such as pages viewed, device and browser information, IP address, and actions like adding to cart or completing a purchase) through cookies and pixels on our site. We use this to understand our site traffic and to show and measure our ads. You can opt out at any time; see "Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising" below.
  • Production partners: for some specialty items, a trusted decorating or manufacturing partner may receive your artwork and the order details needed to produce that item, only for that purpose.
  • Organizations whose web store you order from: if you buy through a web store we run for a team, school, club, or company, that organization may receive order information (such as your name, items, and sizes) needed to distribute or manage the order.
  • Legal requirements: when we are required to by law, subpoena, or court order, or when needed to protect the rights, property, or safety of our customers, our business, or others.
  • Business transfers: if our business is ever sold or merged, customer information would transfer to the new owner, who would remain bound by this policy.

Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising

Our website uses cookies, pixels, and similar technologies for three purposes:

  • Essential: to make the site and checkout work, for example remembering what is in your cart and keeping you signed in.
  • Analytics: to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use our site, using Shopify's analytics and Google Analytics.
  • Advertising: to show our ads to people who have visited our site and to measure how well our ads work, using Google Ads and the Meta (Facebook and Instagram) pixel.

Your choices:

  • Use the cookie banner (shown to visitors in regions that require one) or our Your Privacy Choices page (also linked at the bottom of our website) to turn off analytics and advertising cookies and opt out of data sharing for targeted advertising.
  • Opt out of personalized ads directly with Google Ad Settings and in your Meta ad preferences.
  • Install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
  • Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Essential features like the cart and checkout may not work without them.

Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track: we honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals. If your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of advertising cookies and any sale or sharing of your personal information for that browser. Our site does not respond to "Do Not Track" signals, as there is no common industry standard for them.

How Long We Keep Information

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy:

  • Order and transaction records are kept for up to seven years to meet tax, accounting, and legal requirements.
  • Artwork files are kept on file so you can easily reorder. You can ask us to delete your artwork at any time.
  • Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.
  • Quote requests and correspondence that do not lead to an order are deleted when no longer needed.

How We Protect Information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. Payments are processed by PCI-compliant payment processors over encrypted connections, and we do not store full card numbers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your information.

Your California Privacy Rights

We are a California business, and we extend the following rights to all of our customers. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), you have the right to:

  • Know and access the personal information we have collected about you, including the categories, sources, purposes, and the categories of service providers we disclose it to.
  • Delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions (for example, records we must keep for tax purposes).
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. We never sell your information for money. However, California law can treat the use of advertising cookies and pixels from Google and Meta as "selling" or "sharing" personal information (such as device identifiers and browsing activity on our site) for targeted advertising. You can opt out on our Your Privacy Choices page, by enabling Global Privacy Control in your browser, or by contacting us.
  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information. We only use sensitive information (such as payment details or account login) as needed to provide our services, so there is nothing further to limit.
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights. We will never deny you service or charge you a different price because you made a privacy request.

Categories of personal information we collected in the past 12 months: identifiers (such as name, email, phone, address, and IP address); commercial information (such as order history); internet activity (such as pages viewed on our site); and, for payment processing only, financial information handled by our payment processors. We collected this information from you directly, automatically from your device, and from organizations that run web stores or fulfillment programs with us, for the business purposes described in "How We Use Your Information." We disclosed it to the categories of service providers and recipients listed in "How We Share Information." The only information that may count as "sold" or "shared" under California law is identifiers (such as IP address and cookie IDs) and internet activity collected by Google and Meta advertising cookies on our site, which you can opt out of as described above. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.

"Shine the Light": California Civil Code Section 1798.83 lets California residents ask which personal information we shared with third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing.

How to make a request: email us at crew@leftcoast.com or call (805) 547-1622. We will need to verify your identity, usually by confirming information that matches our records, such as your email address and a recent order. You may also have an authorized agent make a request on your behalf, with your signed permission. We will respond within 45 days.

Children's Privacy

Our website and services are intended for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Links to Other Websites

Our site may link to other websites, such as supplier catalogs or social media pages. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated policy on this page and change the effective date above. If we make significant changes, we will let customers know by posting a notice on our website.
